Project idea and results
Setting up and testing an innovative e-learning platform fully adapted to the needs of people with visual disabilities. The platform was designed as a tool supporting social integration institutions in providing their services for people with disabilities. The platform inculded:
- six e-learning courses (1. How to effectively present yourself while searching for a job, 2. What should you know before you search for a job, 3. Debt collection, 4. Java script programming, 5. Excel in managing SME, 6. Call center),
- a job market tool,
- social communicators
The platform was tested by 15 people with visual impairments.
During the project we set up cooperation with the Foundation for Information Technology Accessibility from Malta. The subject of cooperation was adaptation of Maltese solutions in the field of applications and ICT that allow access to education and employment for people with disabilities. Transnational activities involved a workshop held by experts from Malta, a study visit of the project team in Malta, a publication summarising the effects of cooperation.
Results: 15 people increased skills and competences, 2 people received jobs or self-employment, 15 institutions implemented the model of e-learning.
